A new voice

"Deidre Baumann appeared before me when I served as judge on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. I found her always to be a highly skilled, well informed, and wonderfully gifted advocate. She is a credit to the Bar, and through her dedication has come to share great respect among my colleagues. She is a person of high integrity and honesty. Her extensive skills and legal experience makes her an ideal candidate for Cook County Judge. Deidre Baumann will serve the community with the kind of intellect, impartiality, and fairness that we all desire in our judiciary. "

Honorable Edward A. Bobrick (Retired)

Why am I running for Judge?

I believe I can bring fresh energy and an independent voice to the Cook County Courts. I have the perspective of a long-time Chicago resident, and the knowledge of an active community member who has worked across a wide spectrum of urban issues. I bring the professional lens of years spent in law, and a passion borne out of many inner city experiences.

Deidre's Mission Statement

Society is best served by a judiciary whose proceedings are free from influence and prejudice. My mission as a Cook County Judge will be to diligently use my legal expertise, integrity and compassion to serve ALL the people of Cook County, and ensure the search for truth results in Equal Justice under the law.
